Semester Break - Insights From The Break

During the exams, meeting up was challenging due to the amount of studying and preparation required. Despite this, we were determined to make it happen and managed to meet twice.

We were able to test two couples of parents and their children. It was a great achievement to have been able to conduct these tests despite the obstacles we faced. We worked hard to ensure that these meetings were productive and beneficial for our team. It was a true testament to our dedication and commitment to our goals, and we felt proud of what we had accomplished.

The parent-child testing with our "Cheflip" was crucial for our research, giving us valuable insights. Our "Cheflip" helped them change roles in the kitchen, promoting autonomy and independence. The prototype was successful, with positive feedback from families who used it. It provided practical tools for improving relationships and family dynamics.

Despite this, a number of super-important insights emerged for us:

  1. The main negative feedback we received was that sometimes the cheflip was forgotten as part of the process and it needs to be somehow integrated into the cooking action itself.

  2. Another negative feedback was that parents had difficulty finding the points where they could give their children the role, and said that if there was a division into stages it could help them. The division into stages is not mandatory and can be flexible and change during cooking.

  3. The positive feedback is about the flipping action, which really succeeded in stimulating a reliable role change and was enjoyable for its own sake.

  4. There is a good display of progress and feedback is received at every stage of the progress through two screens - numbers and squares that fill up.
