When the first semester ended, we were pretty pleased with our solution - it had taken us time and a lot of thought to find something that we all liked and trusted in its abilities, which is probably why it was difficult for us to hear from our mentor that this was not going to be anywhere near the final product, and that we shouldn't get too attached to it.
When we came back from the semester vacation, we got some new insights and understood that the solution does have some problems we want to solve, but yet we want to keep many important features that we know can take our product to its best efficacy.
We tought what we can change in our product in order to fix some of those problems and yet to keep the things we thought are important, and came up with a new idea. As always, new ideas are not always acceptable by everyone that fase, and we understood we have to talk about the new idea, try to understand who to fit it to everyone's will, and keep in mind that every new idea is not yet specifide, and we can do it ang get it to an idea that we all trust.
We met again during the week to discuss how to improve the new idea, what we should do if it doesn't work, and what are the needs and main values of our team that we must not forget. We were glad to return to work after the break, during which we met less frequently than usual, and we are excited to begin the second and final semester of this project, knowing that at the end of it, we will have a real working product that should solve a real life problem.
