In a week filled with determination and perseverance, we moved on in two parallel tracks, we aimed to make significant strides with our smart box and bracelets.
Designing the Smart Box
After meticulous size planning and careful consideration of kitchen constraints, we reached a breakthrough in our smart box development. With unwavering determination, we finalized the size and design, creating a high-fidelity prototype. This milestone marked a significant turning point, giving us a tangible product to work with. To enhance its functionality, we integrated LED lights into the smart box, allowing for a more intuitive user experience.
Smart Box and Bracelets Integration
One of our primary goals was to establish seamless connectivity between the smart box and the bracelets. This endeavor proved to be a challenging task that required countless hours of experimentation and troubleshooting. However, our hard work paid off, and we successfully achieved a breakthrough. Finally, the smart box and bracelets were able to establish a reliable connection through a touch interface. This accomplishment brought us closer to our vision of creating a cohesive ecosystem of smart kitchen devices.
Challenges with Bracelet Development
While we celebrated our success with the smart box, the development of the bracelets presented its own set of challenges. We found ourselves grappling with confusion and indecision, unsure of the right path to take. To gain clarity and valuable insights, we conducted several usability tests. These tests helped us understand the limitations and shortcomings of our initial concept of bracelets with another object on top of it. In the end, we decided to keep moving with the fully wearable-band concept only.

Armed with the feedback from our usability tests, we made the tough decision to bid farewell to the on-object concept of the bracelets. Acknowledging the importance of adaptability and user comfort, we shifted our focus towards a fully wearable band. This strategic decision not only addressed the usability concerns but also opened up new possibilities for integrating additional features and functionalities into the band.
