Week 10 - Stormy Week

This week was very important in our work. It was stormy, not only by the weather but also because we stuck this week and got into big disagreements which got us to think again about the process we made so far, and start to rebuild ourselves.

Until the beginning of this week, we were pretty sure about our product - we got good feedback in the speed mentoring the week before, and we were ready to keep moving forward. But then, we understood (with a push from our mentors) that we must see parent cook with their children or all our work is worth nothing, and that we have to see how things are working in the kitchen.

We took the advice and did everything we could to be part of a process like this, which gave us a few new insights, but also led us to the biggest crisis we had since the beginning of our work together.

We understood that all this time we worked on a few needs, and didn't focus on one, even though we already have a product idea. After we decided on the specific need and specified our "how might we", we disagreed about the product we made. Some of us thought it is not fit at all to the specified need we decided about, and wanted to rethink it all over again, while for others it was harder to give up on the idea we worked so hard to come up with.

We decided to go to the lab and consult with our mentor, which helped us go back in the timeline to our need-defining stage and do go over the process from there again. We were sad to work on some of the steps again, but understood it will be easier this time and won't take as much time as it took us with the original idea.
